Approach and Background

Therapy is a place to discuss any issue, big or small. Together, we will identify the root cause(s) of what is negatively impacting your life and preventing you from reaching your goals. In our sessions, I will help you be more in line with your “best self” by challenging any self-defeating thoughts or behaviors while developing healthier coping skills and ways of thinking. If you’re looking to address anxiety or depression, improve communication in your relationship (as an individual or couple), or navigate life transitions (like loss or coping with a disability), I can help get you through it.

There is no “one size fits all” in therapy. I start with Attachment and Emotion Focused Therapy but am well versed in a variety of approaches that can help address your specific goals and needs. I specialize in couples work, people with visible and invisible disabilities (hard of hearing, vision loss/blindness, etc.), and those with chronic illnesses.

I believe a strong client-therapist relationship is crucial and I want clients to know they will be both challenged and supported. I will help you identify and improve your strengths while isolating the old coping skills that work against you. We will work together on your current challenges to help you create a more satisfying and vibrant life.
